| My wife has never been to Pickitt, so I would like to try and do a see the sites ride...Probably good for whatever trail..... including trail 100 if dry, but if wet...probably not.....I realize that many have seen all of the sites before, but I would like to try and stop and look at them on this ride...
mineral lake, a few overlooks, natural archs, water falls, Granny Crack, caves ...etc. a focus on the best of Pickitt type of ride.
A Redrzr or Damn Yankee pace of ride speed. I would call it moderate, not slow, not fast. Say be leaving the store at 9am Central if possible. I will spend the night before, so an earlier start is ok is desired.

| If the weather is nice I'll go. I may bring the whole family for this one. I'm still trying to get Lucas use to riding in the T4. He didn't like the big bumps and hills at mud camp last weekend. maybe he'll enjoy pickett. | |

| I wouldn't mind going but not sure I'm comfortable over the boulder after cat hauler with my 4 year old in the Teryx4...just thinking worse case scenario. | |

| Matt, we could skip car hauler, we will not want to do trail 100 either then, rest should be ok.
Still need a guide, Redrzr?

| You couldn't ask for a better guide or friend. I showed him a new rock hse which I'm sure he will share. Wish I could be there!!! Have fun and be safe. The car hauler is pretty bad these days. It was an adventure going down it this past weekend. The trail is really washed out at #17 intersection and dangerous when WET. | |

| Talked to the wife she said she would like to go. What time yall leaving for sure? Im on central time. I would have to drive up Saturday morning (babysitter). Can we still park at the store/camp? We were told last month he was going to quit? My wife isnt an extreme rider either lol unless I pack some duct tape haha. But I did just install some new harnesses but probably still in swinging distance lol. | |

| After watching the goings on this last Saturday at Nortonville, I am going to say this. Not directed at anybody, but be sure and have your vehicle in good working order, proper tire pressure, mechanically sound, you can be 20 miles from the truck on this ride. Have some basic self repair stuff, and you determine if you are capable of doing this ride. These trails are NOT maintained and will be off camber and rutted. We talk about the lighter side of Pickett, just realize by most riders standards most here are on the more extreme side of riding. You will minimally leave with bush scratches and the place is rocky so skid plates are beneficial. I would classify this as a moderate ride, with areas that could result in rollovers. This is not a place to bring kids on sport quads or new riders. If you invite them be prepared to keep up with them and help them. The ride is as posted leave at 9am central and back around 6pm. If you need to leave by 3, be prepared to find your own way back as we can be miles from the truck, be prepared to ride past dark, sometimes mechanicals or the ride just goes long. Humor is always good, REDRZR is a good guide, and he saved my bacon the first half a dozen times that I rode with him, maybe all of them...lol...but he is recovering from a surgery and needs to be careful. I have limited mobility with two bad knees. So the goal is to have fun, be safe, and all ride home in their vehicles not in a helicopter. | |

| Good post DrMud. I've been on a ride or two like you described in Nortonville and they're not fun rides. | |

| My first in Nortonville and almost my last......... I might not have been welcomed back if I had stayed much longer. Lots of stupid in a few that day. | |
