windrock/royal Blue feb 23

who else is going on this ride they are several of us from middle tn offraod going

The Windrock ATV Club will be having their monthly club ride on Saturday February 23, 2013. We will be leaving the Windrock Parking Lot and traveling to the Eternal Flame site which is located on the North Cumberland WMA/Royal Blue. There is an additional permit required for Royal Blue and one of these options can satisfy the requirment.

1. Annual Hunting/Fishing Combo with at least one WMA Stamp. (Type 93) is the small game stamp. Total Annual Cost is $45. But those are renewable on March 1st so I would not go get this for the ride. It would not be good long enough. Just get the daily listed below.

2. Purchase the Tennessee Resident ORV Permit (Type 036) which is $12.50 per vehicle. Only need one for a SxS which includes the passenger. I think regular TWO-Up type ATV's you only need one permit. The Non-Resident ORV Permit (Type 038) is $30.50 per vehicle. Make sure you specify the date will be riding when purchasing. You can get the permits at Walmart.

3. Not sure about Sportsman License being valid, etc. You will have to check that yourself.

This ride will be about 80 miles. Extra Gas will be needed so bring it. Also check your machine over carefully. We will be far far away and it would be very difficult to be towed back in to Windrock. We will leave promptly at 9am so don't be pulling in unloaded at 9am. Give yourself plenty of time to unload. This is a long trip and most of it will be on easy gravel type roads/trails. We will be moving at a pretty good clip. The first stop after leaving the parking lot will be the Caryville Flats which is about 25 miles.

A signed Club Waiver form is required for all Person's on the ride. Also a Windrock Park land use permit. All Club Members and prospective Members are welcome on this ride.

Ride Date: Saturday February 23, 2013
Ride Time: 9am Eastern
RIde Length: 80+ Easier Gravel type Roads/Trails. A few trails might be thrown in.

Another foot note: The Snack Shack is no longer here so you will need to go to the campground office to buy your day pass. I think it is $17.00 per person.
The TWRA permit is per vehicle not person.

they have a new building in the main parking lot to buy permits open on weekends

I spoke with them today and they will have a lady there in a temporary building until the new store is built

I'm in.. Might bring my little girl with me.. Momma would not be able to handle that long a ride on back seat..

Damn I wish I could go. Gosh dang work gets in the way of everything.
