- Wife and i survived our first real ride at Bell County this weekend rode around 200 miles. We had a good time, I made some noob mistakes.....
Mistake # 1:
Tring to clear a boulder field on a hill, I get hung going up, and backing down, now I have done this without incident on the Grizz several times. Me and Polaris having a conversation about now..... I finally get unhung and start a new line...with spotter.... and throttle down and bounce up......2 miles on further up the mountain, I realize that I was in TWO WHEEL DRIVE.
Mistake # 2, darn gauge was creeping up, temp gauge had been going to 209 then kicking on dropping down to 190 or so, so after I had pounded it over the bad spot, the gauge is going up 209.1,,,209.2....209.3.....on up to 212.9....never did go down, we get to the top....start looking for leaks, mud packed radiator, let it cool down, start it up, still there 212.9....my buddy is like..the gauge is broke, there is no way, bath water will not even stay warm that long.....so I got to looking....had it set on MILES......not temperature... TIP: temp gauge does not do tenths....
Mistake #3, actually happened first this day, so should have been mistake # 1...every rock that I went over I was bottoming out, I was thinking..well I did not wash it..maybe full of mud...but me and Polaris was having a conversation again, my Grizz would clear all of these little rocks.....eventually stopped to look under the RZR, and discovered that I had left the 4" drop hitch on, that I use to secure when trailering.
All in all, we had a great ride, aside from human error the RZR did great and was a lot of fun. The wife is ready to go again. Sounds like you both a great time!! I will be heading to Harlan Co. Sat. to tailgun a Fall color ride to Big Black with Rob...you and the wife come along and join in!!

| Dr Mud that report had me laughing until it hurt. Glad 2 c u r having a great time with your new machine. Mine is still in the shop. Needs a motor overhaul at about 2500 $$$$. Waiting for insurance answer if they will cover it. My sway bar at the trailing arm broke also on the drivers side. Now I have broke the sway bar and both trailing arms. I have about 3300 miles on mine. 4 more years to go on the extended warranty but I don't think I will make it. I have 2000 already b4 this problem. Will keep you posted. Saw NC mudman at the fall Jam @ Windrock. | |

| Added EMP REar Cargo cover cap. And, finished install of Redrzr radio and antenna.
Still to do: Cargo light, rear backup lights, and add my rear bumper when ATV Guru gets it built. I will take some pics today and update.

| Matt, i think I ordered it from Rigid for like 40 bucks each?, I ordered one flat for interior lighting that I will drill and mount to the roof, and I ordered one tapered that I will mount to the back of the roll bar for a cargo light. They will both come on when I hit the switch, without the key. I hope this will help loading in the dark.
The 2 way radio worked good this weekend at Nortonville. I really like it, and the antenna mount seems to be in a good spot, went through a lot of trees without incident.

http://www.rammount.com/NewProducts/GarminOregonMount/tabid/211/Default.aspx That Oregon mount is the same one I have, and it works great. I just finished up my RAM mounts tonight on the Teryx. The original arm I bought didn't articulate enough to allow a good viewing angle when mounted on the roll bar.

| Added JodiT rear mud flaps. They came with a free RedRzr install, plus a great ride day at Pickett. What a deal! I would rate these as a must have for any Razor that has mud flipping up on them. Problem was pretty much eliminated. | |

| My tree kickers worked well, I put this one against a big oak tree and spun the front around to miss a tree in front of me. Yes I did have to get out and look and see if the fender was still there...lol.

| This picture shows my closed snap shut that I have mounted on the trailer hitch. I have these on my Grizzlies, very convenient to hook on too, to pull somebody out or get pulled out. I also use this for a tie down anchor point. | |

Great pic Mike. Who all was in it? How are your Big Horns looking after riding LBL? I noticed my rear tires had some big cuts in the tread after riding last weekend with you.

| Matt, the other two riders are James and Jeff. Our goal was to get Jeff some seat time in the RZR without injury, he had a bad roll at Pickett on an ATV and broke some ribs. They both rode with you last year when you rolled there. Jeff is the guy that James rear ended real hard because he was watching my son go through a mudhole. They are best friends too. James had a flat from last ride, 1 1/2 inch gash. He also has bent or damaged three rims, but they still hold air. My BigHorns look good, to the best of my knowledge, I have some tree bark between the tire and rim in one.
I rode this place different than I ever have and consider it my best ride, I went up and down each next ridge instead of staying in the valley or on top of the ridge, added a lot to the ride, because the place is not that big.
Going fast at Turkey Bay is a good way to ruin a tire. We have replaced three ITP's and a couple of rims from there.

| Here is the looking the other direction when we first got our ringside seats for the sunset. Neat place to be. on a 60 degree day in November. | |
