It looks like we will hit Pickett on July 17 at 9am cst.

Is the Pickett ride still on? Any new details? Where is a good place to stay the night?

Yes it is still on, Hows 9am CST for a starting time...

As for spending the night maybe someone will chime in with some info, I have never spent the night.

who have we got planning for this ride? If you will post I will get a ride list started!

I'm planning on going ...... I'm hopeing i'll have my project bike done to test ride I bought a pile of junk x2 cheap(mid-90s 300 4x4 Bayous) Currently have them stripped down to the frame right now, trying to take the two and make one good one to sell (rhino fund or fix the tractor fund lol)....

Go ahead and put me and my brother on the ride list! We plan on comming down sometime friday and spending the night. I'm really looking foreward to this ride as I have never been to pickett before. Will do!

We will be parking at black house mountain road! If you need to follow me from the bypass or some where that would be fine.. Pickett is a great place to ride, I could ride there once a month and I don't think I would ever get bored with it..

Looking forward to meeting you both!

If we could meet you at the intersection of 154 and the 127 by-pass that would be great. Just name the time and the place (parking lot).

Here's some info PWM posted on another forum. Its good info so I thought I would post it up!

"Interstate 40 Exit 317. Head north on Hwy 127 to Jamestown.

Hwy 127 just north of Jamestown turn right on Hwy 154 towards Pickett State Park.

Approx: 6 miles you will pass the Wildwood Bed and Breakfast. 1,5 miles past the Bed and Breakfast you will see Blackhouse Mtn Road on the left. Turn Left onto Gravel road and follow it for 4.1 miles to Trailhead Parking area. Just park along side the road."

Where do you usually try to park at ? the parking area or on past it where the road forks on the sides of the roads ? I seen that was all quoted ...just asking ??

We normally park in the parking area

Its good to park there ...but usually people do NOT know how to park !!! and they fill it up fast ..

If they are new people coming to the area we could all drive in together ... meet in Jamestown (Wal-Mart) or something ?.?. just a thought .....

I can meet where ever! I am meeting Lt Rubicon at the intersection of 154 and the 127 by-pass! If everyone wants we can meet at the Wal-Mart? I am game for pretty much what ever!!!
