| Wife was told by co-worker that he seen on some Facebook site that Pickett is closed, gated, and will be patrolled. If caught they have the right to confiscate your machine. Any body heard anything ? | |

| Yes, I was told the same thing by a buddy of mine. But I would imagine the trails that are actually a part of Pickett state park are still open. So I would assume the part that is being patrolled is just the land that the lumber company owns. But then thats where most of the trails are. | |

| The gate behind Dry Hollow church is shut and locked. This is firsthand knowledge. There is a lot of talk among locals right now. I guess it's just now set in that this is for real because most folks thought it would never be closed. I'm afraid this could get ugly. | |

| I think we all knew this was commin and if we dont pay attention more places will be closed to us ! It dont seem to matter where you ride there always seems to be trash and cans and what ever there that should have been hauled out rather than left !! I know every one dont leave a mess most times i bring out more than i took in and im sure a lot of others do the same BUT a lot dont and dont even think about it !! If i would have bought the property we call Pickett and didnt want people on it i would expect people to respect my property and my rights with out a hassel !!!! OK im off the soap box !! Like i could buy a place like Pickett HHHAAAAA | |

So well said! I see it on almost every ride! Trashy people who have no respect for others. I also see people who destroy cabins for the fun of it! I see people who cut down trees just because they are there. It is so sad!

I can! Yes I am ready for people to toss beer cans, rocks and other debris at me. People who drink and drive (on road or off road) tend to be the bottom end of society. Yep, those folks tend to be younger and dumber. They nick name Budweiser Buddumber for a reason. It can and will affect your brain in a terrible way. Now, with this said, there are just plain old trashy people too. They live in trash and they just toss out stuff to be tossing it out. I have this rule when you ride with me. The 1st time I see you tossing items onto the trail you do not get a 2nd invite. Plus, I have been known to pick up their litter and hand it back to them. This really gets them mad.

| You paint with a pretty broad brush my friend. That is Bottom end. Really. Yes you hit a nerve. Sipping 3 or 4 on a 7-8 ride I think is totally responsible. Just don't litter and get stupid. | |

| Rode royal blue today. Drank 4. Picked up and hauled a large bag full of cans along with some trash. Get off your soap box. | |

| I've rode with people who have a few beers out on a ride, and they have been pretty responsible... But I've also rode with a group by accident not knowing how they were, and two miles into the ride the start getting waisted... Not my cup of tea!!! After 3 hours, and only gone 5 or 6 miles, I left them and told them to fend for themselves!! | |

| Good assessment. Having a few and relaxing is one thing. Getting wasted and putting yourself and others in danger is another. My beef with Mudhound is he put all in one big group. Also if you bring it into the woods bring it out. All of it and more if you can. | |

x2 I don't do drinking, this hobby is to dangerous to be drinking. Not only can you get hurt but you can get someone else hurt and/or you can ruin someones machine. The drinks are for the after party !

| I knew I would hit a nerve. However, to each his or her own. You can choose to drink and drive. I can choose to avoid you to the best of my abilities. Sadly, you hear of others who get hurt (even killed) by people who “just had a beer or two”. Back to the trash subject: so just why does the majority of the trash have to do with beer cans? Why? Do non drinkers gather cans and bottles and carry them back onto trails? Do people steal the cans out of your RZR and toss them out as a way of finding their way back to the truck? Granted, it is not just beer cans. I have personally witnessed all kinds of trash to include but not limited to cans, bottles, water bottles, baby diapers, chip bags, old cars, trucks, and more.

| People throw can and bottles away because you can't claim you only had one beer with 20 empties in your floorboard. | |
