Anyone up for Pickett on July 13th? If so plan a moderate to extreme ride and if you have never rode with us please read the http://www.mudandgutsoffroadforum.org/t1236-disclaimer.

On all our rides we ask no alcohol, riding is dangerous enough without the added risk.

And a few rules of the trail to follow are but not limited to:
1: Run with your headlights on, other riders can see you better for your safety and theirs!
2: when turning on a trail unless you are the tail bike if you do not see the bike behind you wait on them at the turn.
3: NO LITTERING!
4: be respectful of fellow riders and mother nature!

If we don't go canoeing that weekend, I might be interested. Need to leave the wife at home. I would like to set up for some premium video on some of the rocks if possible, most of the time everybody just rips on through.

I'm thinking we can park at Sunny Brook then work our way over to the sand mines. From there hit trail 3 to the car hauler, go down the car hauler and pop up at the play ground on trail 1 then maybe go by the arch for a photo shot. Then pull back out and ride over to the mineral lake for a bit, then head back and on the way back take a head count for who wants to ride around 100 or bypass it (personally I have mixed emotions about 100, just to hard on equipment). Next over to yellow doors and on to trail 2, follow two out to the road and come back in on 1 following it to preachers rock then start working our way back to the trucks. This is not set in stone and can change through out the day due to unforeseen issues and ideas..

Whats your thoughts? I don't feel this is two extreme but a fairly new rider or on a atv it could cause numerous issues!

Anybody needs to be well skilled to do this ride. This will not be a two up ride on a Grizzly, downright dangerous.

i got my first atv in 1997 so im not new at riding everything sounds good to me i dont know anything about trail 100 car hauler isnt a problem i would rather go up then down have done both will do either again

if i can make it ill probably bring the rzr but if going down the car hauler i dont see a problem with two up on the grizz ive had a passenger on almost every trail but the carhauler and 100 nothing i have seen at picket compares to riding around here from what ive rode at picket i feel comfortable riding two up if in doubt she walks lol

I have ridden behind one other couple that could ride two up better than I can by myself....lol. The challenge with forums are that we don't always know what a persons skill level is. I personally will run the risk of offending somebody here than having a person get hurt or get over their head on a ride. Looks like we are going canoeing on this date, so you all be careful.

Personally I would rather not ride an atv, I have my sport quad and love it but covering 50+ miles in a day on an atv with some of these trails thrown in can be a major work out compared to an RZR and thats riding solo (I know I'm getting old lol). I have done it several times but we didn't cover near as many miles and never double up.

I hate to hear that DrMud but I hope you all have fun and be safe!

mud-and-guts its different for me 40 miles in my rzr kills me it bothers my back its a work out for me where i can ride my grizzly 80+miles and not feel half as bad it just rides so smoth compared to my rzr and my grizz has power steering we just rode to caryville flats at windrock last weekend it was a 81 mile trip and slept in a tent and felt better than riding the rzr and sleeping at the holiday inn lol but im hoping my thoughts on the rzr will change in the future when i get power steering on it

dr mud if it rains and the waters up you can always come ride

I'm in as long as we're going up the carhauler backwards, blindfolded, and only using the thumb and another finger to steer. Also we have to do the end of trail 2 backwards.
On a serious note. I'm not sure yet but, would like to. Will have to let you know a little sooner.

I may be up for this one. Hopefully my cousin's shop will be done by then. so I don't have to work on it every weekend. I would like to try going up 100 on two wheels in my T4 backwards. Very Happy

We may go canoeing on a different day, I may be back in if I think that I can hang with the young guns. My wife saw this thread earlier and gave me the look that her RZR was not going, guess I could always take the Grizz.

We had a good red trail ride with NCMudman and his brother, JMRubicon, Sponge, Dino, Redrzr, and maybe a few more last year. About half and half with side by sides and ATV's.

I will be riding this weekend but I will have my grand daughters with me. I will also be breaking in the new razor so I will be taking it easy. I know the by passes on the tuff spots so thats what I will take. Anyone can take these with me also so don't worry about the car hauler & trail 100. I would like to throw in Edwards mtn also. Sorry to hear Matt isn't coming too. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Lets set a start time and go for it.

Had a little ride yesterday and found my right rear flare was ripped loose this morning so in hopes of saving a fender I pulled the "S" flares off and installed the regular RZR flares. What do you think? I figure with it being dust season these might work for a while but when wet season hits I bet the "S" flares get put back on if not sooner..

I like the looks just not sure about the mud.

Sponge, I will be on your bumper and maybe we can circle around and get some good camera film footage on the young gun.
