I don't know much about the 700 but,,,, with aftermarket exhaust I think they are mandatory, if you are not looking for power It may not be worth the time..

If you are looking for low end power do you have a modified sheave? My stock sheave shipped to JBS (WV Hot Rod Rhino) today, I am going to try his cut with the grease-less weights..

A clutch sheave is the first & best upgrade imo ... then the msd. The MSD only raises your RPM's & makes it rev harder. Thats why you really need to do the sheave first so your motor isn't reving so hard all the time.

Ok I have done the JBS sheave on the 09 rhino 700 and love it. 10 mph faster and better low end to. Should I go with a msd unit now? I've heard something about a newer msd model coming out soon also. And should I change the secondary spring if I do to what spring? What does a different spring do? I DO NOT plan on changing the exhaust.

Basically without other changes all the msd is going to do is offer more top speed so is personal preference

As for the spring, a stiffer spring will keep the belt from slipping under load. I think the orange working is a common swap on the 700.
