PostSubject: Pickett 8-7-2010   Sun Aug 08, 2010 1:16 am

After all the bad luck we had on July 17th RideRed his wife Kim and myself decided to try Pickett again today... We left the trucks at 9am CST and rode an awesome variety of trails covering 52+ miles when we arrived back at the trucks at 7pm CST...

As great as this ride was I think we will all agree the Big(Huge)Black Bear we seen in the middle of the road on our ride back to the lake to clean up was the best part of the ride.. Neither of us had ever seen a Black Bear which made it that much more unbelievable...

I am hoping to get a little video from yesterday but it will be later.

Here is a few Pictures..

A long ways down!!!

He had to try out the bridge!

Parking the Rhino!

Bubba's Bank...

This is not a very good picture but you can see the bear...

These Pictures do not due justice to this Bear... It was Huge...

Yesterday was great! Me and the wife decided that all the hundreds of rides that we had been on that was the best one ever !! Seeing :cyclops: that HUGE :face: black bear was icing on the cake , and a perfect end to the day..... I can't wait to show everyone the all the places that we got to see on the 21st !!

As big as that thing was, I would have give it anything it wanted !!!! The only thing, It would have had to catch us !!!
Just guessing....Trying to compair it to other animals scratch It had to be 4 to 5 hundred pounds (no joke it was BIG !) But I have no idea on how much they weigh to their size, It looked like it nearly stood 4 ft tall !!!

I might have been exaggerating but I thought it was bigger than that...lol It was almost as wide as the road and atleast 4ft tall standing on all four... I just wish we could have gotten a good picture...

My wife said for leaving the Rhino running when you got out to take the pics of the bear (she was riding in the rhino at the time) but she said their would have been a problem if the bear came back or she seen another one .......... You would have had to jump in the back of the rhino because she would have got the heck out of there !!!!!!

Here we are at Preachers Rock

Heading down the mountain to the church

I don't think the Rhino will fit under this !

A nice waterfall to cool down with

Going across the logs ...... just a ten foot drop on both sides !
