High Lifters steering stop for the RZR Empty
PostSubject: High Lifters steering stop for the RZR   High Lifters steering stop for the RZR EmptyFri Aug 16, 2013 7:30 am

Ever paid attention to how far the front out cv bends at full lock to lock? I hadn't till I installed the front forward arms and while checking clearance I found they look like they should bind due to going to far. Then I got to reading about people haveing issues with front axles breaking due to this which it seems is worse when the front bushings start to have play in them and it seems worse in reverse which makes sense. I installed these as is to try and the axle looks a lot better at full lock but later on I may pull them off and cut them in half to give that a try if I need the extra turning radius.

Looks like you still have pretty good of range of motion after install. I was afraid it would cut steering radius too much. Doesn't take much to break front axle or winch in reverse.

It does cut it down a quit a bit, I may end up cutting them in half and only using half but I want to get some more ride time on it before making the decision.. I like it being on there though, although mine is still under warranty I'd rather it not be in the shop waiting on an axle..

Very true on the warranty. I have the extended warranty, but everything I have fixed on mine wouldn't be covered under warranty or would cost more in gas taking it to the dealer. I hope it stays that way, but I'm hard on stuff. Lol

I did some riding this week in real tight terrains check transmission poles and found I had to back up to much with this kit installed so I removed it for now.. I may cut them in half and try them again later..

Why not take the stock stop off and just use the highlifter stop?

The RZR only has a steering stop on one side.. the other side when the inner tie rod hits the rack it stops..
