T4 R&D

I see that EMP has a T4 for R&D

Hopefully they will start making some accessories and protection for them.

They have a front and rear bumper that will be available in the next couple weeks.  I've been asking them to fab some metal inner fender well/firewall guards but they've not responded. I said screw it and picked up some 14 GA steel to attempt to fab my own. one company is making them for $450, but I'm not ready to shell out that much without trying to make my own.

Hopefully the more people start getting a T4 they will start make more stuff for them. And right now stuff for the T4 seems like it cost twice what it does for others.

yeah, until the price gets a little better I'll just make my own. hopefully this weekend I can start on my front bumper.

I hoping my lift kit will be here tomorrow to put it on this weekend to get it ready for the next ride.
But amazon is taking a while I ordered monday and it has not got here yet can't wait to get it on. 

What is the cheaps price anybody has seen on the UHMW full skids for the T4's the lowest I have seen is $649 for 1/2 inch thick.

Thanks I am pretty sure UHMW is what I am going with. Is the weight on them about the same as alum. Or are they heavier.

Not sure. They aren't light but they work great. The T4 just slides off rocks and is quiet when ding so instead issue constant clanking of aluminum.

Yeah I took my plates off after our Aug. 3 ride and saw the plastic plates were in a lot better shape than the metal one and there only a 1/4 inch thick so the 1/2 inch thick UHMW should be nearly bullet proof.

I think the 1/2" is litterly bullet proof... Lol

I would even like to try to make a roof out of some that if it would not get to heavy

there is a place in louisville, ky that sells the uhmw "recycled" by the sheets. I think I was going to get two sheets for around $300, but never got the time to go get it.

Got the lift kit on Monday night took a couple of hours. Started with 10 3/4 inchs of clearance and now about 13 1/4. Love it tried it out at the house in some places where I use to drag bad don't no more. Now I need some 28's.

Sounds like lift should help a lot. Should tell big difference at Pickett.

It should, on the last trip got hung up twice and seemed like I was hitting every rock on the trail.

I like the emp bumper. It's starting to look like a expensive light mount for me. LOL

There is a guy who is just getting setup to make aluminum firewall skids if anyone is interested. They'll be $250 plus shipping. They're on a another forum but not sure if it's OK to post links to other sites? Mods is this OK?
