| Hey guy's! I just got in a frs radio and I don't know where the best location is to mount it. Is it okay to mount it up under the roof? Where do you have your radio? | |

| All of ours are mounted to the roof, I have seen a few mounted to the rollbar. You will want it mounted high because they are not weather or water resistant. | |

| No you will hear it just fine and you can still read the face, note ours are mounted sideways so you can see what channel you are on. | |

| I think I seen dino's on his xp. But If I mount mine on the back of the roof I would have to get out and walk to get it. lol I guess I will mount it behind the light bar on the roof. It should be easy to see, but the mic might be in the way, I really don't want a mic hitting me in the head all the time.lol I was wondering if i could hook the frs radio up to the cd player? then it would come through the speakers in the back and I could mount it with the cd player out of the weather. | |

For my atv, I have a speaker mic combo in my helmet, with a push to talk button connected to a 5 watt portable. The portables are still handy to have in a UTV for spotting or checking out a trail on foot. | |

| Mine is mounted to my roof but I also carry a portable in case I want to listen to another channel at the same time or I am away from the machine. (breaks or lunch stops) | |

| Roof is the way to go....... Thats where i always recommend to put them. I have had mine in my Rzr for 2 years there. I just make sure to kill the power before I wash the Rzr. | |
