This is my first 450 so I got to get use to the power band first... lol My 700 had a lot more torque.. I been missing the 700 for some time so hopefully this will help fill the void...

This bike was purchased in 07 and rode for about one year before the starter clutch went out and it was parked till now.. I have replaced the starter clutch, added K&N filter with outerwares, new grips, cleaned the carb (it was nasty to say the least), installed HRC Jet Kit (went from 120 main to 162), modified the air box lid for a little extra air flow, and changed all the fluids... I also took the swing arm pivot bole out for the first time since it was built at the Honda plant....

It is ridable now but only locally before I take it any where to ride I am going to replace all the bearings, bushings, chain, tie rods, and bassically all wear items.. Then it will be time for some customizing....

Cool. I loved my 450R and wish I still had it at times.

we got out Sunday and rode for about four hours and I got to say I am still sore... I didn't realize I was so out of shape.. lol

Got out today and started tearing it down! This thing rides like a log wagon so the shocks are going to GTThunder for Revalve/Rebuild..

Got all new QuadBoss bearings, seals, etc so its time to start the rebuild.

last year at Bell a lady road soemthing like yours, a sport quad. She used to race. One of the best riders that I have ever ridden with.

Thinking about pulling it down to the frame and having it powder coated... Looks like its going to be setting a while any way so why not right? lol

Pulled her down to the bare frame this morning, now shes ready for some blasting and a fresh coat of powder..

Got the frame, sub frame, and motor mounts in from PC today, also got my a-arms strips and out to PC... Hopefully start reassembly soon..

Got out this weekend and did a lot of cleaning, then a lot of cleaning, then a lot of cleaning, then I did a little assembly... I mounted the frame and sub frame together then mounted the steering stem with a new Quadboss bearing and seals.. I also rebuilt the swing arm with all new bears, seals, bushings, and pins. Hopefully it will be off the floor and on its own suspension next weekend...

Got out this afternoon and married the engine to the frame and the swing arm. after installing new QuadBoss Oil seals in the engine and adding the new TM design works roller and chain guide. Also installed the Boyesen Clutch cover and water pump. Then assembled the modified a-arms with GT Thunder BallJoints and QuadBoss bearings/seals..

Also made a little tear down video...

Got out today and installed the Radiator, GT Thunder Re-valved shocks, GT Thunder Rear XC Linkage, CV4 Blue Hoses, CV4 Radiator cap,, CV4 Vacuum hoses, Boyesen Quickshot, GT Thunder modified a-arms, front hubs with QuadBoss bearings/seals, BikeMaster front brake pads, Race Driven front rotors, installed the front brake calipers and brake lines... Was hoping to install the Handle bars but I ordered the wrong mounts so it will be another week..

I also did a little modding, The GT Thunder ball joints came with lock nuts instead of castle nuts so with no way to get an impact on them I got some castle nuts and drilled the ball joints for cotter keys...

Just about time to start the wiring.

I decided since I was doing some engine work it might be a good time to do some clutch work as well.. I ordered the Barnett Basket, pressure plate, Dirt Digger clutch kit, and Clutch cover. Everything came in so I got out and installed it tonight..

I also got the axle installed the other day so here is a few of those pics as well..

It was a beautiful day out so I spent most of it in the shop working on this thing.. I installed the Flex Bars with the Pro Taper mounts, the MSR brake and clutch levers, the Pro Taper hand Guards, the front brake resovior, the headlight switch/starter controls, the Boyeson flex grips, modified the factory dash to fit the 1 1/8 bars, installed the heavy duty QuadBoss tie rod upgrade kit, dyed the rear chain guide black as well as the front rotor guards, then done most of the wiring up front, and test fit the Maier black carbon fiber front fenders. I also bleed the front brakes and changed the fluid to a synthetic dot 4.
