A stiffer spring is similar to a lighter weight, it not only helps keep the belt from slipping but also helps keep the belt in a lower gear longer.... Hope this helps.. | |

Are you going with a modified sheave and weights also? I don't see the spring being much help without the sheave and lighter weights . | |
